After spending the morning at Discovery World we crossed the lawn to the Milwaukee Art Museum. This building looks amazing outside! We did not get the opportunity to see the “wings” open but the building is impressive to say the least! Lunch was quick sandwiches we had stashed in a cooler in the trunk before entering the museum.
We were lucky as it began to pour once we entered the museum. It was fun to watch the storm over Lake Michigan from the museum windows.
I love the Chihuly piece they have on display!
After viewing the special exhibit on French posters we took in the rest of the museum. We spent a lot of our time at the children’s art area upstairs. Daughter had lots of fun making her own art master piece with Aunt Em!
I was very impressed with this art museum. Everything was very child friendly and held her attention.
Admission is $17 for adults, $14 students and seniors. Kids 12 and under were free. We had a coupon for free admission from the entertainment book I had purchased on a summer sale online.
Here is a coupon for $5 off admission. http://www.visitmilwaukee.org/exploremore/entertainment.php
