After spending our morning cross country skiing we took some time to check out the Nature Center itself. The volunteers were very friendly, asked if we had enjoyed our time and told us about the center.
There was a large rabbit that was friendly, everyone stopped to pet him. Turtles, skinks, frogs and various native wildlife.
Several rooms have large windows with chairs for bird watching.
They sell hot cocoa, canned pop and little snacks in the front gift shop.
My favorite room was the new great room. The real roaring fireplace was very inviting. Skiing back to the center we could smell the wood smoke from the fire.
Outside they have miles of trails that we want to investigate in the spring.
