I heard on our tour that Franklin Fountain is the place to have ice cream! And I heard that we had to expect to wait in a long line and to bring cash only. We were lucky that all the people in town for the Pope were not going for ice cream that day. We had almost no wait when we walked into Franklin Fountain.
Franklin Fountain has been in business since 2004 but it looks like it has been there forever!
They have a very large menu of sundaes, shakes, cones and ices. A small cone will set you back $5 but it is a generous scoop. A milkshake is $8. Root beer Float is $7.50. Hot fudge sundae is $9.
There were some great choices but I went with Cap May Sea Salt Caramel. It was very, very good. Daughter went with chocolate that she said was good.
