My Daughter loves to go on ghost tours. Each time we visit a new city she has the request that I look to see if there is a ghost tour. Last time in Savannah we did the Creepy Crawl. https://stretchingittotravel.wordpress.com/2014/06/10/savannah-ghost-pub-crawl-good-creepy-fun/ This was a lot of fun but also an adult activity. The same company does a kid friendly tour.
We arrived at the main gate to Colonial Park Cemetery at 8:20 for our 8:30 tour. A few minutes before 8:30 the rest of our tour arrived. A troop of Girl Scouts and their parents from South Carolina.
We had Greg as our tour guide and he took us to several places to hear the ghost stories. He spoke of how he was not a believer in ghosts when he arrived in Savannah and all the spooky things he has encountered since.
One of his stories was of the famous 17 hundred 90 and the story of Anna falling from room 204. And the other ghosts who haunt the restaurant and inn.
The tour was almost 90 minutes and kept everyone’s attention. We also paused for a few minutes to see the Friday night fireworks from the square. We ended back at the cemetery around 10.
Adults are $20, kids 6-16 are $10 for the tour. The creepy stroll can be booked here: http://savannahtours.com/creepy-stroll/
