I like to use Restaurant.com for dinner coupons when I travel. The site allows you to search by zip and then by distance. I use the hotel zip code and search for with in a mile of that zip code for locations they offer. This trip I purchased $15 off $30 at Hearthstone Pizza Bistro.
The restaurant is located a couple of blocks from the Radisson Reagan hotel. We made plans to eat early as we had to be 6:30 in DC by the mall area. It was around 5pm when we arrived for dinner. We were quickly seated and told the happy hour specials. We settled on a started of mozzarella sticks and garlic knots.
I had the chicken parm which was very good! Daughter ordered Chicken Alfredo and sister had the eggplant rollatini. The portions were large and we had plenty to take back to the room for later.
Our food was good but nothing exceptional. If we stayed in the area again I think I would try some place else just because there seemed to be some really outstanding restaurants in the area. This is more towards average for over $60.
The service was quick and very friendly!
We went to Wisconsin recently and I was looking for lunch locations. Groupon did not have anything to offer in the smaller town location we would be stopping in. So I turned to Restaurant.com for a chance to save some money. You enter the zip code of the area you need are going to be dining in. We would be in Combined Locks, Wisconsin. So I searched under the local zip and found 18 dining choices within 15 miles of Combined Locks.
Several choices were out of the way for our drive to Appleton and the other choice that looked good I could not find very much information about. Kim’s Place had a menu that appealed to all of us and was not out of the way on our drive.
Some restaurants offer different certificates with different spending minimums. Kim’s place only offers 1 option, $10 off a min of $15.
We stopped in for lunch and had a large meal. My daughter and I each had a cheeseburger with fries, my Dad had the three piece chicken meal. Then she had ice cream and my Dad had pecan pie for dessert. The total for our meal for 3 was $25 and change. Take off $10 and it was now $15ish plus tip. I will gladly feed 3 people this amount of food for $15!
I did not pay $4 for my $10 off certificate, I never pay full price on Restaurant.com. I look for their sales in emails they send out, I used the code SPRING and my total was $1.20 for my $10 certificate. Also I went thru a shopping portal to earn 11 points on each dollar spent at Restaurant.com.
Save on eating out!
We don’t eat out very often unless we are on vacation. But when we do I like to check out http://www.restaurant.com You can search by zip code to see what is offered in your area. Right now a place we really like in our area has been added so I am excited to go back to Joe’s.
The Restaurant.com certificates are for sale for amounts ranging from $10-50, and there is a minimum spend. For Joes it’s a purchase of $22.50 to use the $15 certificate. The price is $6 for a $15 off certificate, but I purchase when I have a discount code.
Use code SUMMER to pay $2 for a $10 certificate or $3 for a $15 certificate. (And shop thru your miles earning portal.) Yup, order over $22.50 in food, get $15 off by spending $3. Works for me!
I also check Restaurant.com for areas we are traveling to, we tried a great Mexican place in Seattle for about half off. (Remember to tip on the full amount of your bill.) Print off your Restaurant.com certificate and present it before you get your bill.
Here are the points payouts, going thru American you would get an additional 30 miles while saving on dinner.
