After the prior nights raves about rock shrimp we set out to find them one more time before we left Florida for the snow. Florida Seafood Restaurant showed them on their menu. We made time to have a nice seafood lunch before finishing our drive to Orlando.
The interior is very entertaining. We saw fish wearing Santa hats, and tiki faces.
We were quickly seated as it was a little past one. We asked the server for the rock shrimp appetizer to be told they did not have any… (Big sigh!) They had Sweet Georgia’s instead. The family went with the suggestion but Daughter will tell you they are NOT the same. They offer the butter melted over a warmer which is a nice touch at the table.
Husband ordered some fried seafood, Daughter had Alfredo and I had the burger.
The service was good, the food was good and we would be willing to go back if they had rock shrimp. I think next time we will call ahead to avoid disappointment.

We had eaten some very good meals while on vacation and wanted our final meal to top our trip off. We settled on Grills Riverside in Melbourne because they had shark on the menu. Husband has a food bucket list and shark was on it.
We arrived around 5:30 since we had skipped lunch. We had been too full from Sun on the Beach to even consider lunch! The indoor restaurant tables were pretty empty but the outdoor bar area was busier.
Our server was great, very quick and helpful with our menu questions. Daughter and Husband started with a rock shrimp appetizer. They died and went to heaven! It was their first sample of rock shrimp and once they got them peeled they were in love. Daughter was hoarding them on her plate and there might have been some food stealing going on.
For our entrees Daughter got a burger, Husband had the shark kabobs and I had the chicken. Daughter even like the piece of shark she tried. My chicken was very good and Daughter inhaled her burger. We even discussed getting another order of rock shrimp for dessert but then Husband figured they were full enough.
When we were heading out a band was setting up to play outside on the deck. We had visited the Grills in Port Canaveral before but we think the one in Melbourne is much better!

Lets just end with IF you have the opportunity to try rock shrimp, do NOT pass it by. Today again Daughter commented on how she wished she had some rock shrimp right now.
After spending some time in the historic Charleston market place area I was dying for some lunch. I eat three meals a day while Husband does not. He generally works through lunch and eats a large dinner. I get “hangy” and need to eat!
After perusing some menus we settled on Noisy Oyster. We asked for a booth by the open windows to people watch while we ate. This is a really busy area and my idea backfired. It was mostly people watching us eat while waiting to cross the street, oh well! It was 1pm on a Friday, who knew?
A couple of cold drinks made the wait for food go quickly.
