View a Viking Ship in the Midwest

The Draken Harald Hårfagre is a ship built on knowledge of the past viking ships. They began building in 2010.  Then took her for a ocean voyage in 2014 to to Liverpool, England and back to  Haugesund, Norway.

She is currently in the Great Lakes headed to Chicago for the Tall Ships weekend at Navy Pier.  They had unexpected expense of having to hire a pilot in the Great Lakes at the tune of $400 an hour.  Currently they have fund raised over $70,000 of the $430,000 goal to complete the Great Lake voyage.

They docked in South Haven this weekend so we made the drive to check out the viking ship.  She is docked at the Michigan Maritime museum and will be offering tours Monday and Tuesday before heading to Chicago.

Friends Goodwill Pirate Chaser Cruise in South Haven Michigan

The Friends Good Will is docked at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven Michigan.  There is plenty of parking and it is very easy to find.
